RIP 9/11/2019, due to complications from arthritis and pain medication. He was regal to his last day. Breeders describe their Constantino line as their very best...PRODUCERS!!! 15 years ago the judges called him the "future of the industry" and they were right. In 2016 two of his juvie sons, Bonafide (LB) and Travelin' Man (BB), earned 1st FFH in very competitive classes. Tino's show career lasted 5 years and he successfully competed with the best in the country. His fleece stats for fineness and weight from 12+ years ago are on par with today's show winners. Tino's fleece took four years to increase one point for Standard Deviation...on a hig plain of nutrition. Tino's 19m /17 CV super dense cria fleece never collected debris; 9 - 10 crimps per inch in '03 and '04. Shearing Tino's first two fleeces was difficult. They were so dense, fine and slick that his skin got pulled into the blades several times. In my search for a "Sunny" daughter, I found P. Isabelle, a Peruvian Misty Maiden (Sollocota, $205k high seller/12 crias/70 championships) and 4P Black Magic (Sollocota) granddaughter out of an exceptionally fine-fleeced dam, 4P Sweet Dreams.

Her sire well-known sire, P. Desert Sun (P. Black Magic x P. Misty Maiden), won ‘Best Overall Fleece’ at the 2002 Estes Wool Park out of 232 entries in all colors.

I purchased Isabelle especially to breed to my Champion, Constantino. Constantino's sire, 4P Lanarks Locota (Malaquito) was bred to Isabelle's dam, 4P Sweet Dreams (Macusani, 10 crias), several years ago and that mating produced Chanel, a stunning LF female who was the highest selling female huacaya ($26k) at the 1999 Celebrity/Futurity auction.
Compared to Chanel, Isabelle's and Constantino's crias will possess three lineages of superior genetics: Trufflina (13 crias w/ champ, 1st and 2nd place awards), Black Magic and Misty Maiden.

Isabelle possesses all the qualities you would expect in a quality Peruvian: beautiful phenotype, impeccable conformation and proportions, a straight and level topline, correct tail set (straight tail bones), even leg spacing front and rear, good body capacity, correct movement, and complete coverage. Her nicely dense fleece is buttery soft, crimpy, long-stapled, and is maintaining with high brightness, low micron and her CV has gotten better with age. 2012: 1st place fleece AND Judge's Choice Award in the D age class with his 5th fleece - 2012 Alpacapalooza and with 25% of the fleece skirted out due to rain damage.

With his prepotent Alianza and Sollocota pedigree, Flint is a great herdsire prospect with an abundant, long and silky, incredibly soft and bright fleece as well as fantastic nationally recognized genetics. He has one of the most beautiful fleeces on the farm and he hands down gets the prize for "lingering" fleece. He has very good conformation, full coverage and a nice temperament. He is related to most of the herd, so he has not bred yet, but he is being held in reserve to follow in their sire's footsteps.

He has bloodlines from famous alpacas: P. Andrajo, P. Misty Maiden, P. Desert Sun, and 4P black Magic.

2006-2007: 354 day gestation; 18 lb @ birth; 24 hr IgG: 2283; gaining 0.6 lb/day; very vigorous; strong and alert; has his dad's gorgeous dark eyes and perfect ears; correct bite; complete and abundant fleece coverage nose to toes on day one! His newborn cria fleece looks like it has been trimmed. It's incredibly bright, fine, dense and very long stapled with aligned medium amplitude and frequency crimp. Of special note is his very correct conformation and movement in all gates.

His highly regarded Peruvian heritage includes Constantino's strong Alianza traits from his blue ribbon dam, and Isabelle's Sollocota qualities from the famous P. Misty Maiden and 4P Black Magic lines, along with two other very successful grandparents, 4P Lanarks Locota and P. Sweet dreams from the Malaquito and Macusani regions respectively, and who together produced Lanarks Chanel, a Futurity high-selling award winner.
